Here's the thing, I love Wolfgang Puck Express Cafe in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs. I mean LOVE it. It's been one of my three favorite places to eat practically since I arrived in Orlando three plus years ago and I tell everyone they have to try it! The service is spectacular, the dining space is bright and beautiful and the food just fabulous!
Being entirely honest,
I'd heard bad reviews of the Wolfgang Puck's Grand Cafe and some behind the scenes info that made me really not even want to try it out. If not for this blogger event, that would have continued being my opinion. However, after my evening there I've absolutely changed that opinion.
My evening at Wolfgang Puck's Grand Cafe at Disney Springs was a wonderful dining experience. From the moment I arrived until I left, the staff couldn't have been nicer, giving me the feeling that they cared I was there, and was glad for it. This is the kind of place where everyone feels special, like they've been waiting just for you to arrive.
While I'm not generally a seafood eater, I decided to be adventurous and try both the scallop and take the salmon. The scallop was good, very flavorful, but honestly, not anything so good that it changed my, I don't care for seafood policy. However, the salmon... wow!
Now I do eat and cook salmon on occasion, it's usually out of guilt because everyone raves about the health benefits. However, the salmon that night was delicious. It actually ended up being my favorite dish and believe me, that's really saying something! I wasn't the only one who felt that way, I think the salmon was the favorite dish at my entire table.
While I didn't try the sushi, I have friends who do rave about the sushi there all the time and again, the comments from the ladies around me who did try the sushi, they were all happy with their selections. I have to say too, it looked so pretty! I know that may be strange to say, but I was sort of in awe at the sushi table.
One of the girls at the event has an allergy to shellfish so she had asked for some rice separate from the sushi table, just so as not to risk even a chance of cross contamination and they brought her a dish of rice in the shape of a Mickey Head... how cute is that?
My night at Wolfgang's was fantastic and I think it's important to mention, what with all the excitement about the new arrivals at Disney Springs, they already had five star award wining dining that shouldn't be missed! Plus, with everyone so focused on the new arrivals, the crowds and wait times at our beloved favorites are pretty good right now!
Disney Springs truly is turning into a destination unto itself so if you find yourself there, be sure and check out Wolfgang Puck's, the view from the dining room is amazing, the food delicious and the service better than you get anywhere else, I'd go so far as to say, anywhere else in the entire park, but it certainly ranks in the top tier for service in my opinion.
If you're here in Orlando for the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot, Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe is celebrating the final days with a Signature Dinner offered Thursday November 12, 2015 at 6:30pm at their location in Disney Springs!
I've been loving my time at the food festival and whether you're here just for the day, or you're looking for something special to wrap up your memories this year, check out the internationally-inspired five-course dinner which will be led by Chef Robert Leonardi. You can read more about it, and get the entire menu today on The Disney Blog.
Hope you enjoyed my night at Wolfgang's and that perhaps it inspired you to have your own night there in the future.
